Human resources downtown would have to sign off on it too.  In today's KCS,  I think the chances of a HC being hired with no teaching credentials is slim to none.

Not necessarily. If he were a TA he would be vetted just like a teacher would.  He's already coaching at a Knox County school, so he's passed thru Knox County HRs requirements.

It's more about having the head coach in the building as a full time employee, which a TA would be.

oh lord.  Remember when he made the team stand on the other side of the fence with the spectators?  I believe that was a Thursday Night Game of the Week against Halls.  I have never seen anything like that in sport ever.  What a disaster.  Who made that hire? Geez

Ugh. Don't remind me...

Word is now that Bearden is planning to interview Central OC for this job, as well. Would be a big pick up for Bearden if they can get the deal inked. They're averaging 36 ppg which is the most since the Joel Helton era if I am not mistaken. One of the bright young offensive minds in the local area.

Sweep right, sweep left, slant…. Repeat.

You seem like you know a lot of ball, you should throw your name in the hat.

I’ve watched a lot of ball in my time on this earth. Lots of it! Seen a lot of good and a lot of bad….. I don’t have the patience to coach ball. I enjoy being the arm chair QB. I do play golf and have stayed at many a Holiday Inn Expresses.

FHS, Vil is just being honest. This is the worst Central has looked on offense since 2016. Play calling is terrible. Go to Diamond Clear and watch the 2nd and 4th quarters of the Halls game. Pathetic best describes it. If he wants to leave, let him go. But I'd hate to see him end up at Bearden. He's not the answer!

wait WHAT?!?! PLEASE take him. This has to be a joke, right? You do realize those ‘36 PPG’ is SUPER inflated. Running up the score against heritage, cocke co, Hardin valley, TN high is why that’s so high. when we have played good competition this year the results have been 14 points against west and 17 against greeneville. not sure if anyone considers SD good or bad this year. but yes the game plan is sweep left and right with the QB faking the throw after the handoff (fools no one) and a quick 3 years slant or behind the LOS screen.

Calling out play calling in a game where they scored 26 points and an offense that is averaging 36 points per game. Yeah... that sounds reasonable. Get your head out of your you know what and wake up dawgs.

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
