Josh Jones picking up steam?

I think not having a teaching job is the reason this has been a sluggish process. I've heard that the market is softening on Josh Jones and hiring Rusty Bradley is more likely.

Bearden has eight jobs posted. Three special ed teaching assistant jobs, two assistant baseball jobs, one softball assistant job, a supply PE teacher position, and a head football coach job. The folks in charge over there are clearly struggling to hire someone. They've had four weeks to get this figured out. They've got three options: hire someone willing to be a special ed teaching assistant during the day and be head coach at night, have a Cocke Co situation and hire an insurance agent, or hire internally. I think they would have already announced if hiring internally. So really they have two options that they don't want to choose. They've done a decent job keeping this quiet except for one or two guys on the hiring panel but that doesn't change the fact that this is a complete clustercuss.

Ah yes, another day passes and another day that Bearden falls behind HVA, Farragut, and West. Now the question becomes, who makes a hire first Bearden or Notre Dame? Maybe the BHS admin are waiting on their man Josh Jones to finish up his run with the Panthers so he can replicate some of his 2018 success at CAK. Or Maybe Rusty will burn a bridge at his fourth place and come take over the reigns.

Buddy this is high school football in KCS. AD's don't have short lists. They post the job, people apply, they interview, they pick someone that matched the teaching positions available and life goes on. They ain't hiring Bradley or Jones. It would be plain stupid to hire a HFC that doesn't teach at the school. Where else in KCS is that the case?

I did not ask the AD, I asked you.  I understand the KCS limitations and the lack of faith in the Bearden admin, but you seem knowledgeable about this so I want to hear your top candidates.

Carter- Pressley (PE Teacher)

Central- Craney (Social Studies Teacher)

Farragut- Courtney (PE Teacher)

Fulton- Black (Driver Ed Teacher)

Gibbs- Turner (PE Teacher)

Halls- Cummings (Grad Coach)

HVA- Miner (PE Teacher)

Karns- Taylor (Social Studies Teacher)

Powell- Low (PE Teacher)

South Doyle- Duncan (AD)

West- Brown (Intervention?)

 

All HC's in KCS work in the schools based on staff directory search.

This is a strange list and is not going to happen bud, hate to break it to you. Those 3 will not be announced for the Bulldogs in 2022.

What do you think about it? To me this is an impossible situation. LJS says the admin is not strong and they're in a tough spot. What are the realistic outcomes? It is possible they'll go into February and not have this sorted out.
