There are numerous head coaches in Knox county of smaller sports (soccer, cross country, tennis, wrestling etc.) that do not work in the school.  Although thats normally not the case for sports like football, there is not a rule in place that only applies to football in terms of hiring a head coach.

There are tennis and cross country forums you can post in. This is football

I’m from the old school so a degenerate gambler is a degenerate gambler.

So he’s a bookie AND a degenerate gambler?

Next he’ll be a sexual predator like the assistant coach at Heritage.

Lots of accusations be thrown around about a guy that hasn’t been named a head coach, unless I’ve missed something.

Doomsday scenario for BHS. County actually does approve Jones hire...no former assistants agree to coach, but all stay on staff as teachers at BHS. There are no positions to offer and next year's football staff has ZERO coaches present in the building. The former assistants, all coaching elsewhere, have marvelous seasons. The parents, noticeably upset by the fact that no coaches are around their boys during the school day, demand a coaching change after 1 year. Process starts all over again.

Or they continue to not make the playoffs in a mediocre district again

4-6, 4-6, 5-7 and 8-3 the last 4 years. Those stats scream hiring JJ would be welcomed if he can turn them back into 8-3.

I'm sure the coaches on staff would welcome the idea of being able to compete again.  Parents will be upset if their kid is not playing, not that he is not there to babysit during school hours.

No it hasn't been made, probably because KCS is having to figure out why Bearden's administration is trying to hire a bookie as their head coach.

That particular coach has already had to pass a background check, given that he is a supplemented coach in Knox County already.

And again, not advocating for or against him if he is the choice.
