No question that Powell's offense has been pretty special, and JJ deserves some credit for that. But Lowe is ultimately the straw that stirs the drink. Plus, when you have that boatload of raw offensive talent, it would take a LOT to mess things up.

I never heard of any of this eastside silliness till the state championship, but the more I learn the more I can't believe what yall got going over there.  People always want to accuse people of cheating, Same in 2A this year.  But if he met the nolans at the 8th grade all star game and then they moved to Powel i don't know how that isn't against the rules.  And I now for a fact them Page boys is pissed about it.

I couldn't tell you how all of that stuff happened, and I don't know the Nolen family's circumstances. That's not me playing dumb, I just don't know them at all. But the Walter Nolen saga is no secret to some folks, including the TSSAA. When the #1 recruit in the country moves into your backyard, with just one year of HS eligibility remaining, you better believe that everybody outside of Powell is looking to rule that guy (and his siblings) ineligible.

Page can be pissed all they want, so I guess they can get in line with every other 5A program in Knox County. We can argue about the merits of the move, but in this particular case, if they legitimately moved to Powell, I don't see where they broke any rules.

I have no way of knowing that officially. But given Walter's profile (and Powell's recent history), I would be shocked if someone didn't.

as high profile as it is, we would have heard about the investigation I'm pretty sure.  Maybe it never occured to people that little nolan met him at the all star game.
