I'm amazed at how Riverside has improved since the Lexington game in week two.

Does ANY team in 2A improve more thruout the season than Riverside.  Frost seems to see stuff all year and have them in best position to wreck havoc in the postseason.  Complete opposite of Eli, who hasnt made an adjustment since 1st grade

Yeah him and the other coaches do a good job working w each other and coming up w different schemes throughout the season. But not only is he an X’s and O’s guy he is their for his players and they will, excuse the expression, run through a brick wall for him. Good person and coach. We are very happy to have him here

thats so key at that age. Eli is horrific at that. Any adult who has ever spoken with him will confirm.

Yeah their are two sides of coaching, the kids have to buy into you if you want them to do their part. I have no idea how it is in Forrest but we are lucky here

Very balanced w outstanding QB / RPO his specialty / as w most A-Aa squads limited reserves / but no superstars

Riverside passing been pretty accurate this year but been very blessed w a talented receiving corps. Six different ppl he can throw to. Running back has done well too but not a lot of big numbers cause most games this year only playing one half

I would rate the Riverside coaching as excellent.

I have watched a few Riverside games on livestream this year.  Just one play shows you the difference in the offensive minds of Forrest and Riverside. Both teams run a buck sweep play out of shotgun. It's a great play with old school blocking.

Forrest runs the play out of one formation. 4 out of 5 times it's to the left side. 4 out of 5 times the RB gets it. Everyone who has seen a Forrest game knows where it's going and when we're running it. It's still a productive play for us because our blockers are good and our RB's can break tackles even when we don't have numbers. It's called from the sideline and there is no QB read involved. We are running it when we break huddle no matter how the defense aligns.

Riverside runs the exact same play out of multiple formations. Sometimes with jet motion, sometimes without. Sometimes the QB reads the end and has a RPO option. They run it to the left and the right. 3 different guys could run the ball from the same action. The defense has no keys when they run the play; they may run passes or inside runs from same look.  They call it from the sideline after the defense lines up. Advantage Riverside.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
