8-7 MAHS, under 2 to go. MAHS has the ball and they're in Huntingdon territory.

Huntingdon was up 7-0 to start the 2nd half and had a good gain on first down then had a false start to push them back and MAHS had the long drive and then Huntingdon had a great return and fumbled. MAHS had a TD called back. Sounds like MAHS had some athletes. Great year for Huntingdon. Congratulations to MAHS on a great win.

Down goes Huntington in Orange Mound !

MAHS WAS PHYSICAL THAN HUNTINGTON!!!!

I don't think you can call one team more physical than the other in a game like that.. both teams scored once.

Not trying to take anything away from MAHS. They have a solid team. But to say they were more physical is a stretch. Faster with more pure athletes, yes. Not more physical. This was a grind of a game.

You're right, I believe I was the only non-Memphian that picked MAHS to win the game. I thought they had the ingredients to win and throw Huntingdon fits. I thought MAHS had the best player in the game, but also a good enough supporting cast to make him as good as he is, and to throw havoc at the opposing team.

How much did your boys in Dyer improved from the beginning of the season to the end? Do you know what to expect in '22?

I not sold on the direction their football team is headed right now. They have some talent but their  schemes especially on offense don’t look good. The culture is not their. No attention to detail and absolutely no sleep lost after a loss in this program, IMO. I heard the coach is ready to retire and they play like it. They have some talent though to be competitive, but we will see. If they ran the football program like the girls basketball program they would be better off. Girls basketball program runs their program like Bama runs their football program. They don’t BS around.

    • Yes. I have seen that cause problems. In my last coaching stop, if a coach resigned they got them into another building. Sometimes the very next day. Welcome.
    • Agree. The man literally sacrificed time, moments, memories you can't get back with his own family for every single athlete at that school. (and many others) To those that continue to be negative about him and continue to bring him up; He's been loyal, hardworking and just his entire coaching career. Ask anyone that actually has a leg to stand on in regard to Coach.
    • Egotistical? That's a new one.  It's funny, I'm friends with two of the younger coaches that he "ran off" as you say. In fact, he helped them find jobs, encouraged them to do what was best for their growing families, provided advice, support and still does to this day.

    • Track has always been big at OR. Ran off about 7 straight titles in the 60s. Your hate for Gaddis runs deep, huh? What did he ever do to you, to make you disdain him that much? You can’t seem to stop talking about the guy. He’s living rent free in your head. Might wanna get that checked out, you don’t wanna go to the grave with that on your heart.
