3A/4A Coaching Jobs East TN

It's that time of year... Had a couple jobs open up already with Sequoyah and Northview Academy... any thoughts on who gets these? What about any other jobs you all are hearing that may come open?

Lots of movement already!  I'm sure that this is just the tip of the iceberg.  What are some jobs that you suspect to come open?

That Northview job has a lot of potential! Will be interesting to see who picks it up.

Not a 3 or 4 A job but I’ll be interested to see who picks up the Bearden job. That could have alot of potential if the right coach is in place.

I agree on both! I am interested to see who gets the Hardin Valley job as well.... There's a bunch of speculation on each of those threads in the 5/6A topics but hadn't heard anything on the Northview job... Hoping someone on the T had a scoop.

Well Sequoyah has hired. Any news or rumors on the Northview position? Looking at this job and others, do schools want to typically have a coach in place before Christmas break?

Not necessarily by Christmas break. You usually have a staff member running the weight room and after school activities. A lot of them won’t even start interviews until after the first of the year.

Gotcha. Alot of schools have hired already, assumed it was to get those guys in the building for the spring semester. Think Oak Ridge, Northview, and Wartburg are the only 3 East TN jobs that remain unfilled. Seen on the 5/6A thread some expectations that an announcement might be made today on Oak Ridge...

that's a 2A (even though their enrollment says otherwise) school competing in 4A.  Oneida hijacks their best players.  I'm not sure they can ever really be competitive.  Tough situation.

Scott County High School hires Chris Harris as Head Coach. He was the OC at Clay County this past season.
