I'm not worried about McKenzie, just confident.  But notice I did say "after Friday, I might".  One game at a time.

I haven’t felt a bit of cockiness or over confidence from the City posters at all, confidence in your young team fresh off a Gold Ball is to be expected, would think you a of  bunch of pansies if there wasn’t a bit of swagger around your chances this year !

It’s a beautiful Friday morning y’all!!!

TideNation show up and show out

Tidemen play fast physical and leave no doubt who the team to beat in 1A especially on this night is

Let us hang around for 3 quarters this time…Peabody better put LC away early. If we can avoid the big plays and keep it close for 3 quarters who knows??? Hopefully LC pulls a shocker! Gonna miss my Peabody folks tonight…headed south with the fam

This game will be closer than everyone thinks. If not then hats off to Peabody. LC is sitting in the quarterfinals for 5th time in last 5 years. LC has went to the last 4 semifinals. I know Peabody has also but my point being is that no one showing LC any respect. LC has been arguably the best 1A program in the state the last 5 years. I know LC hasn't exactly looked great this year but here they are in the quarterfinals again. Lake County go earn your respect tonight. Good luck to both teams and praying for an injury free game.

Good luck to pride and tide.  Ole RD dropped his phone in the bath tub trying to help Wendy get out a few weeks ago and in the process jerked my back out.  Garuntee ole RD has been laid up with no phone.  Wendy aint quite as fit as back n the day. Anyways good luck to that Jacobs man.  Im not joking either.

    • When Danny was a senior he was the quarterback on the 82 team and also the placeholder on extra points. At the end of the game Heritage scored a touchdown with very little time left and went ahead 9-0. On the following extra point Danny rose up and threw a perfect pass to one of his receivers which made it 11-0 and Heritage's first win against Maryville since the series started in 77. Maryville fans were highly ticked off because they felt like it was rubbing salt in the wound. The following year when both teams met again at Maryville  the Rebels ran away with the game and after the first couple of touchdowns they went for two points after each score for a pay back and the score was 45-0 at halftime. The following Monday Bob Gilbert the sports eiditor for the local paper bashed Maryville in an article called the Humilation of Teenagers and tore into Maryville even though he was a graduate of the school. Those were the good ole days when Heritage had decent teams and the rivalry between them and Maryville was a fun event to see.
    • I get all that.  And I agree too.  However, if the coach is only there to coach that would give them more time to do those things. The school system and booster clubs combine and pay them.
    • 3 sides to every story….Someone getting kicked off for saying the F word then it seems maybe your star player? Probably was the last straw.
    • who cares good luck to the kid. Hopefully he finds peace at MV.
