Peabody vs McKenzie (West Semi Finals)

I'm a milan guy and I called this game after the 1st games of the year when mckenzie beat the stangs and peabody beat the Dawgs. Told my brother,  these 2 will meet in the semis as undefeated.  Peabody let me down with the loss to the stangs. Rebs like to have let me down with the Close one against Fayetteville.  This will be a great game that I wanna see. I'll be there as a football fan only . Think it will be decided by who misses an extra point or who decides to go for 2. Definitely gonna be a west tennessee history making game and yes I hope the officials let them play and don't get flag happy. Good luck to both teams.

Mckenzie is a really good football team. They have some ball players. I’ve been saying for years that this Mckenzie JR class would win a state Championship before they graduate. In one sport or another. My concern for them is having to play in a district that is down. I’ve seen it happen with Huntingdon. Players only have to play half a game for over half the season. That never makes you better. It can bite you in 4 quarter game. 

Peabody is a really good football team. Big and talented. They handed Westview their only loss this year.(Westview is the best football team in 2a.) Huntingdon played the most complete and best game they have played in years to beat this team. 
 

Everyone knew this was coming from the beginning. It should have as much electricity as Huntingdon/LC game a few years back.

I agree I think this will be a great game. I have seen Trenton play multiple times and they are definitely a championship caliber team again this year. From what I’ve seen and read online McKenzie seems to be as well. Both teams have big time players. Good luck to both teams as well.

Do they watch film? Yes. But they also look at stats to give them a measuring stick to see how good teams are at specific situations. No, the high school teams don’t have the advance stats, but they can’t ignore the numbers analytics…

I’ve seen both teams. I’ve seen Peabody twice and McKenzie once. My only concern for Peabody is I don’t know how good that team is. I don’t know if they actually gotten better from August til now. I think @pioneer42 alluded that Peabody didn’t play partially just well Friday night at home to a team that has chemistry issues. McKenzie is a good football team that takes advantages of what is given. I like Cassidy’s whip and decision making. I think he does a very good job of playing boring football. 
Peabody’s coaching staff is better, but I’m sure Comer will throw up some wrinkles to keep Peabody honest. Regarding to the schedule, throw that out of the window because everybody in August knew these two teams will meet up…

I’m thinking about trying to make the trip to see this one. East teams around here are going beyond my footprint. This one should be as good as it gets and likely 2 of 3 best teams in 1A or 2A.  I’m just keeping it real.

Pulling for my Power P brothers in this one. I would love for us to meet Peabody in Chattanooga it would be a great battle. We’ve already met McKenzie once before in 2007 and we all know how that turned out

This game will come down to discipline on defense.  Both teams have big play capabilities and a lot of times those big plays are result of missed assignments.  Keeping their eyes where they need to be and not get caught breaking their responsibilities.  

Going to be a long week until this one.  

On a side note, I ask for travel prayers as I am leaving Tuesday for Arkansas for Thanksgiving.  We will return Friday.
