Yea  y’all gonna be upset alright … Upset after you watch them score and score and score some more . And I not being disrespectful either congrats to East on the season but until you get on the field with them and see it in person you have no idea of what kind of team they are .

I’m happy for east and I will always cheer for my hometown team. But they’re in for a reality check this week. Alcoa isn’t Dyersburg.

Every time one a team from our neck of the woods has run into that Tornado for the last 16 years, it hasn't went in our favor. Marion County, Tyner, Sequatchie County, Notre Dame (Shout out to Boog), and Red Bank. 3 or 4 have been tough fought games but the rest not so much. Alcoa is a tough team to beat but it has been done even by teams not name Murvul. Come to play and lets the chips fall where they may. BC I won't lose any sleep if the Tornado's stumble in Chatt town

Sad to even think that a team playing in state championship game has no chance. But, this is the reality of Alcoa and their coach that winning a 3A state championship with 6A talent is rewarding and validating . Just like the semi- final game being 42-0 at halftime.

I even find it more rewarding and validating that Alcoa and Rankin live, rent free, in your head 24/7…

I wish Alcoa had 6A talent  especially the depth. Last Friday Murvul and Oakland played there was close to 190 players dressed for both teams. Murvul with approximately 80-85 and Oakland 95-105. This not including freshman. 

Alcoa plays including freshman...... 59 players.

Try another excuse......
