How good are West Tn Teams?

Gibson county is definitely the heavy favorite at home in this matchup. They didn’t lose anyone from last year and have one of the best post players in the state surrounded by multiple battle tested guards who have a high basketball IQ and can all shoot it. Mckenzie’s pressure won’t bother Gibson County. Wilkins will have them ready to roll. I’m not sure McKenzie will score much more than 40 against their defense. GC is a lot further along than McKenzie. I say GC by 15 +.

Heavy favorite? it be will a lot closer ball game than you think.  We have one of the best players in class A who is surrounded by quick feisty guards that love to turn teams over. Remember We beat Gibson county at GC last year 63 to 60. Our girls are fired up to play this game and it has been circled on the schedule before the season started. It will be a fast paced high scoring game. Our last two games we have scored 76 and 63 points. The lady rebels average 62 points a game while we are giving up 40 points a game. Gibson county and McKenzie are two top dogs in the area right now and it will be a great matchup.

If am Gibson County I get out on the three point line and try to take away the three. They go around me that’s fine but they are not going to beat me shooting three’s  Same with South Gibson. Now that may be easier said than done.And yes I remember y’all beating us well last year. McKenzie a great team and GC will have their hands full. McKenzie likely top two or three team in state when rankings come out. I don’t make predictions any more but I do like how GC is playing right now.

The thing with us is that our offense is drive and kick and pass and cut. We have played great defensive teams such as Greenfield and Union City and they were unable to stop the drive. But Gibson county will be the best all around team we have played so far. Post play is my obvious concern Tuesday and defending Madison will be the toughest tasks for me personally. We have played two quality posts so far in Lillie kee and Sophie Singleton and we did a decent job defending those two, but Madison Hart is another level (especially given her improvement shooting the 3 and driving to the basket). Of course we have a short bench and staying out of foul trouble will be a must.  On the other side Gibson County must do like you said and be to able to keep us in front defensively which will be a tough task but I think yall have the guard play  and are disciplined enough to be able to do that. The team that doesn't turn the ball over the most will win the game.

Good list. If Brooklyn Anderson comes back keep an eye on North Green. She is a game changer and they have enough players around her to make a serious run if she comes back. Pickett County has done some good things as well. It wouldn’t suprise me to see McKenzie and Clay County for the Gold Ball, but Wayne County and Clarkrange are not to be looked over either.

I forgot about Pickett County, we have a girl at Bethel that starred there, really good program. Hearing good things about Clarkrange even after the twins graduated. Haven't caught film on Clay County but saw Wayne county play Summertown earlier this year. Baugus for Wayne is a player and very aggressive, also some very high basketball IQ guards on that team. Houston County in our district will be a challenge.

GC by 10+ at home, high scoring game imo. Davis will get her points but the Hart girls will be too much to handle.

we put 83 on the board tonight without the starters playing the last 4 minutes of the 3rd and entire 4th quarter. I think the game will be in the high 60's to low 70's as well.

I’m gonna say GC by 10-15.   Mckenzie is a good team.  I think GC is on another level.  Guards offset each other but mckenzie has no answer for Madison Hart.    Kudos to these team for scheduling this game. 2 of top 3 teams in West Tn

McKenzie is really good. They outrebounded us 2-1. Shot the lights out first three quarters. Not as good in the 4th. Going to take a really good performance to beat them in Single A. The Davis girl is big time. They got shooters all over. We won by 4 in a dogfight. They are my number 1 team in Single A with Clay County number 2.
