Didn't see the East Hamilton one. Heard they were pretty good. Saw the Warren Co one. Pirates lost 17-13. Got a lot to work on but there's time.

Heard the varsity played one half vs Warren? Then JV played awhile?  Anyone with details?

JV played in spots for both teams in 2nd half. Wasn't crazy about rotating qbs so much but I guess you gotta find the right fit. Line is a concern to me.

Also if someone knows if we only took a certain amount of kids to the scrimmage? Only looked like around 30 to 35 kids on the team. Numbers that low?

The recent team photo I saw looked to be about 42 kids.

Lots of work to do but potential is there. Need to forget about last year and develop their own identity. Loaded will skill players as usual. The line has work to do, but they will figure it out. Scrimmages went as expected getting lots of kids playing time. Expect some losses in the regular season against the larger classification teams but we can use that as momentum headed into the 1A playoffs. Another deep run is expected, as every year in Pirate Country.

SP is just lucky to be able to hunker down and snap the ball right now.  No one should worry about the Pirates this year.  Just roll you helmets out there and we're done.

We graduated 6 all state players.  Our roster consists of around 43 players, of which, 17 are freshmen.  

If I were to rank us without any bias it would be at #5 .  No higher at this point.  And that may well be our ceiling this year.  Just line up and play ball.

We looked great in the jamboree. This team has lots of potential.

The team is young but the have the tools took make a deep run just have to take it one game at a time.
