True, heard the money wasnt even close also.

The money wouldn't be close but the QB club down in South Pittsburg would make sure he is well taken care of. All of the past coaches have gotten " bonuses " to make sure they are happy. You don't think Vic could have went to a bigger school? Sure he could have, but he was well taken care of in SP as they would Rankin.

Any hiring of that Rankin man is slim but it says a HEEP bout how SP being a coveted stop fer fellers wanting to win Ifin he is interested atall.

Crickets? I knew he was leaving as did many people. He was interested in coaching at a private school as well. The guy has gone on record saying he would coach until he dies but who knows? His son left Goodpasture, a school CGR wasn’t interested in coaching at from what’s been said, to go to Boyd. He has a cabin in the Townsend-Gatlinburg area and frequents Townsend on his bike rides during the summer months. Might even see him at the Apple Valley Cafe if you’re lucky. Now, I’m sorry you think only you hear what CGR has to say but that’s your issue not mine. I hope you get rid of all that angst so you can live a more peaceful and stress free life. Best of luck!!

If you only "knew"......you too, could share in the laugh-ability of your comments.

A QB Club cannot do that, legally.  It would have to be a third party that supplies any extras.

Well of course anyone familiar with SP knows the booster situation although some down there say its not true. The source I have said SP reach out to Rankin and he turned it down first hand regardless of money. We are hearing if he indeed does leave which isnt confirmed yet it will be for an extra retirement as in Private sector.Until it's done dont believe all you hear.SP was never considered just to be clear.

Great to see youre alive Waver! Tremendous season for your boys. Was worried about you.

If you dont think QB Clubs or Touchdown Clubs funnel money to coaches, youre insane. It happens everywhere. Third party or not, they write it off as "Program Expenditures"

This shows you have never been apart of a booster program or one that follows the law.

Also, is there any truth to the rumor of Alcoa moving up or being forced to move up?

I heard the other day that they were moving up or being forced to move up to 5A.

There is speculation that due to anticipated growth in the city, that they will soon have to go 4A or maybe 5A.
