Josh Puckett HC at Shelbyville Central were the rumored candidates. Not sure why Puckett would come here even though he did coach here in the early 2000’s

I know brooks applied to be HC in 2019 so I’m sure he’ll be in the running again

I really would like to see the beech guy. I believe he would be great to turn the program around

ER couldn’t go wrong w the 3 options in my opinion. Heard the Beech guy was the most interested though

They’re gonna have 12 seniors next year. Return alot of weapons too. Need to hire someone who builds the program his way and doesn’t listen to the people who were around in the 90’s that are still involved in the program. Running power I doesn’t work anymore sadly

I’m definitely not in the know about the inner workings in Cross Plains. I do know they have been very talented since, well, forever. There has obviously been an issue there for decades or they would have been a state championship contender from time to time. Often it’s just nobody has been able to show a community how to win. The community has to want to win more than it wants to run the coach. 

Atlee Pond didn’t do very much as the head coach at ER but the best thing he did was get the community involved

Yes the community does not run the head coach they want to win just as much as anyone else
