It appears as if Evansville Mater Dei is scheduled to attend the GP West Invitational.  If that happens if will be Mater Dei against everyone else.

EMD wins 170 and 195, and quite possible they take 220 as well. They will also have kids that probably place top 3/4 @ 106, 113 and 120. Their lower weights are very good and they have a few HAMMERS in their upper weights. I'm not saying EMD wins this tournament but they will finish near the top. However, I will take Baumann (170) and Sollars (195) vs the field!

From Indiana state rankings which is all (1) class, the way every state should be for individuals.

EMD has (10) ranked wrestlers

120 - Reed Egli #10

138 - Tyler Vanover #22

152 - Hunter May #2

160 - Joey Pierre #17

170 - Brody Baumann #1

195 - Gabe Sollars #2

220 - Nathan Critchfield #2

285 - James Ralph #3

It's impossible to have one state champion for individual sporting events when you have people crying that it's not fair that "LIL JOHNNY" can't win a state title!

I knew EMD picked up Critchfield but did not know that May had relocated as well. Also didnt know their Hwt was that good either. That means they win 152 and possibly 285 too! They will have a few-handful of champs and several others that place very high. Gonna be even harder to beat them!

Don't be shocked if Mater Dei wins at 106 & 113.  They may not be great but they are solid wrestlers.

I myself like Terrell or Uhorochuk at 113, I would say both of those guys are better than Solid based on what I have seen. That is assuming they are wrestling this weekend
