Unless it's a new divorce or separation, that wouldn't qualify as a change of address under the rules unless it was a court-ordered change of custody. Even then, the principal of the previous school has to verify.

In theory, yes. Doesn't always work that way, however.

The Clinton dragons got the best of Josh Jones and his 1000 kids on roster? Trouble in paradise or too early to predict?

I heard the scrimmage was pretty close. May be trouble in paradise though. Shouldn't Bearden be able to handle Clinton fairly easily? I did see somewhere else where people were doubting the #s at Bearden. I heard they showed up to Clinton with 3 buses and over 80 kids. How many kids are practicing right now?

It will be fewer if they lost.  Spring kids that are new usually don't handle dissapointment well.

No matter what one's feelings or opinions are on the subject, Bearden's roster will look much different come August from what it does right now.

Some insider info right here! He’s right, it will as soon as all those 8th grade recruits get in there along with a few out of state recruits. But wait what am I saying? Josh Jones would never do any of that, right HTV?

If it were only that simple. I'm an old fart,  too, and a traditionalist but I recognize that it is a different day. Social media and the need for instant gratification have completely changed the youth and high school sports worlds.  And not necessarily for the better.

    • Agree. The man literally sacrificed time, moments, memories you can't get back with his own family for every single athlete at that school. (and many others) To those that continue to be negative about him and continue to bring him up; He's been loyal, hardworking and just his entire coaching career. Ask anyone that actually has a leg to stand on in regard to Coach.
    • Egotistical? That's a new one.  It's funny, I'm friends with two of the younger coaches that he "ran off" as you say. In fact, he helped them find jobs, encouraged them to do what was best for their growing families, provided advice, support and still does to this day.

    • Track has always been big at OR. Ran off about 7 straight titles in the 60s. Your hate for Gaddis runs deep, huh? What did he ever do to you, to make you disdain him that much? You can’t seem to stop talking about the guy. He’s living rent free in your head. Might wanna get that checked out, you don’t wanna go to the grave with that on your heart.
    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
