This is true.   They also lost to Cookeville and Blackman x3.   This is the best of the best and Oakland definitely deserves to be here.  Beating BC @ BC is something that most teams don't do this time of year.   I don't think it will be a 15 pt game but I do think Cookeville should win this game.

Bearden very well may win this tournament, although I think Blackman wins Wednesday, but whoever wins it all will not "walk through" or win every game by at least 15.

Exactly.... I expect to see three really good games and one good game. Nobody will be an easy out.

Oakland impressed me Saturday. To go into a hostile Jim Smiddy arena and pull out a win without one of their better players. This should be a great tournament. Lots of great teams.

Smiddy and that black court is the black hole of of the middle TN region.  It is where good teams go and die during the playoffs.  You have to do something special to get out of there with win.

Are you aware that Oakland was beaten by both Cookeville and Upperman this year?  The way I see it they would be the 3rd best team in Putnam County this year. And you can’t argue with facts!

Every one of Bearden's starters are D2 or higher kids led by a 6'2 D1 center and Miss Basketball finalist and Tennessee Tech signee Jennifer Sullivan.  The only team in TN that can touch them is Ensworth and that was a barn burner.  Nobody said they would win every game by 15 but they won't be challenged if they play to their potential.

      QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
