Who are the favorites in 5A for ‘22?

-I know Powell returns a lot. How big are losses at coordinator for them? What new recruits will they get this season?

-What will West look like this year? Central? Oak Ridge too?

-Can anyone out of Memphis challenge the west side of the bracket?

-Who is the cream of the crop in middle TN?

-I like the nucleus that Henry Co brings back, but there’s still some question marks that have to be answered. And that schedule is rough.

 

Anyone else… what y’all got?

Green Hill and Columbia should both be in contention

On Powell and the loss of the OC, I like Matt Lowe and Adam Seymore calling plays a whole lot more than I ever did JJ calling them. 

Have a feeling it comes down to Powell and West on the east side of the bracket again.

You can never count out Oak Ridge and Knox Central.     They have a way of getting hot during the playoffs

Springfield and Henry county will be factors in the West bracket as usual...

I know I'm biased but Henry County will be TOUGH this year.

There is plenty of talent in Maury County. Columbia and Spring Hill High should both be consistently better than they are IMO.

The west will be between Nolensville and Henry County. Nolo returns a ton of talented skill players and historically the best Wilco 5a school goes to the championship.

I wouldn't say historically. That's really only been the case the last 2 years. Before that, I know there were some really strong Independence teams in '15 and '16, but those were more or less 6A teams playing in 5A during the "super 32" nonsense. If we're bringing "historically" into the equation, I'd be taking this upcoming Henry County team over Nolensville. JMO of course.
