Way too early AAA 22-23 top teams prediction

Pretty sure Greeneville brought their main pieces back and should be good again.  Page graduated their best players and will take a step back, but they added Coach Coffman so they won't be down long.  Dyer Co graduated some key pieces but will still be competitive.  I heard Fayette-Ware lost their best players to transfer but I don't know that for sure.

Dyersburg over McNairy 59 to 50. Senior Maddie Kirk got 30 points for McNairy.

South Gibson controlled Peabody all night and won by 23. Whoever plays them better have their best ball handling game because they flat out play great defense. Lilly Baggett is back and healthy and looked very solid as did their whole team.

Upperman and White County should both make the state tournament if both stay healthy. Upperman beat a good Oakland team last night. They have definitely reloaded. The new freshman is really good. To start as a freshman in this program is huge.

The Lady Trojans are much improved from a year ago and with an undefeated middle school team look ready to make a run. Anyone overlooking them based on the last couple of years are making a huge miscalculation.

Upperman should be the favorite until someone can beat them.  Beating a very good Oakland team in the season opener should send a message to AAA basketball that they are not going anywhere.  White County looked impressive at Lebanon last Saturday and will be right there at the end.  Cumberland County and Livingston Academy will both be very good once again and that district will be very tough.  South Gibson is a very well coached team and Lincoln County had a good summer and preseason and they will shock some teams.  Lawrence County looked very good on Tuesday on the road and has very good length in a weak district.  Still be interesting to see how Page does this year with a new coach.  Was not impressed with Tullahoma at Lebanon with the new hire, they have a lot of talent and could surprise some people but was not well coached.  Lot of good teams in the middle tennessee area in AAA but Upperman is still the champion.

Lawrence County impressed once again with a big win to start 2-0.  Lincoln County also starts season with a win and Page gets the new coach a win in the new school.  Tullahoma struggles with a bad Cascade team but pulls away with a late blowout.  
 

Bearden has an impressive start to their season as well.

Bearden was filthy last year. Best team at state by far. If they didn’t lose many players then they will be tough to beat.

Bearded lost some but also reloaded and will be right back there once again.

Page will be playing at Coffee County tomorrow in the hall of fame games against summertown and ravenwood.  White County is hosting games in their area and I believe they play Tullahoma but that could be just boys.

Both boys and girls will play Tullahoma at WCHS Saturday. WC girls also play Sevier at noon.
