Peabody lost 3, but there will be some talented kids that decided to not play this year come back. They will be in the mix. They will be a lot more of a team next year. Derek Kee #4 is only a junior. In my opinion he was the best player on that team this year.

He was their best player. I thought he was a senior because of how he played and his build. He was really fun to watch

ER returns 4/5 starters but do loose taylor groves. Elijah groves could fill that spot. Clay and Pickett both loose a key players. I actually think Jo Byrns may be a contender next season.

Pickett loses the Amonett twins, Caleb Lowhorn and Hunter Wattenbarger. The twins both had ACL injuries which took away the team's momentum and PC also lost starter Caleb Lowhorn late in the season. But they'll be good again with Jacob Amonett and Heath Wattenbarger back along with Eli Reagan, who was a freshman and played often. They have other upcoming talent too. They are most likely a year away, but will be in the chase for the district championship.

I have heard a rumor that heath Wattenbarger is transferring to York. They would have most likely had the best 2 players in the district, but if he does transfer, that will hurt. PC has some great 7th graders coming up in a couple of years, and when Jacob Amonett is a senior, they should be very good. Without Heath, I'm not sure what to expect next season. With Heath at York, they'll be back in Murfressboro. They lost in OT last year with their best player playing hurt.

Pickett also lost Heath Wattenbarger. He’s at York now

Pickett won’t be in the conversation. Gordonsville, Clay, and RBS will battle for that district title. Pickett could be in the play in game with Clarkrange.

They will most likely have the best player in Jacob Amonett and are loaded with 3 point shooters. Yes, I knew that about Heath a while ago. My mention of him before was in May. He will make a very good York team far better.

Didn’t realize they lost that many players.

Their post player Wattenburger went to play for coach Pile at York which was a good decision for him. York will compete while Pickett will struggle.  Clay will probably win that district again, Gordy might be much improved, but the region will be a lot closer than it’s been in years past.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
