It's tough to play physical playoff games with Cornersville, Fayetteville, and Peabody in back to back to back weeks before travelling to play South Pitt in their backyard. The west had 4 teams in 2021 better than the east runner up, IMO.

What would be the odds of winning all four in a row?? Not very good right???

Sp will respect anybody they face in the state game this year but to say they don’t have a chance to win because the west has the best teams is flat out ridiculous.

Nobody said that they weren't the best team or that they didn't have a chance. Believe me, everybody has plenty of respect for the Pirates because they've earned it over and over on the field, not because some Johnny come lately newbie proclaims them "king of the hill" until someone knocks them off. The real Pirate fans on here tell it as straight as anybody, without excessive sandbagging, disrespecting weaker programs, or making brash statements that put extra pressure on the players.

Yall don't pay much attention to Pirateman28 he's just here to ruffle feathers. He's not even a Pirate I'm pretty sure he's a puke purple warrior.

Sp did lose a lot from last season and will have to replace some really good players. It's one game at a time for Sp and hoping we can improve throughout the season. I would say with what Gordonsville has returning they will be the pre season favorites out of the east

Pretty well had that pegged too oneyewilly...just that sometimes my tolerance for "real dumb" gets worn thin. Best of luck to y'all over that way too, tough circumstances for the kids to deal with but I'm sure that they'll turn a terrible situation into motivation.

To save everyone on gas Fayetteville and Cornersville need to go east. Let say Fayetteville would play SP in playoffs thats only 80 miles. If Fayetteville has to come to lets say Mckenzie that is 170 miles. I mean Brandon got everybody struggling out here only makes sense to me.

The Cornersville pick to going to Chatt is wild. They aint touching Fayetteville Mckenzie or Peabody.  To much speed and to many Jimmys and Joes from all three of those teams. City has the best player in 1a with Thomison the Memphis commit him game wrecker and changer. The Coach they got from Hazel Green not cutting the check either ask around they are thrilled his gone.  Fayetteville Mckenzie and Peabody are a toss up for who gets to the ship physical and talented across the board you can ff to the 3rd matchup of City vs Mckenzie again. That was a thriller last year City made one mistake that cost them that game.

Fayetteville will be really really good and Thomison is a beast for sure. I agree that one mistake definitely hurt their chances and was away from the play  but unfortunately  it was way too obvious not to call. Whoever plays the cleanest  out of those three will be the difference again this year.

I would have to agree Cornersville does not have the depth of these 3 teams. Would not surprise me if all 3 are playing in 2A next year.

Let’s be honest the Taylor kid , is not going to play running back in college.  He ran a 4.3 at some camp and got offers.  I see him playing slot or going as a athlete.

and

Again, he is the second best player on their team.

Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss want him to play RB. So there's that.

I am not sure he will land at Ole Miss. He is keeping it way close to the vest. I agree with most though.  I see him as a slot...db.  I think this gets him on the field the quickest.

All what talent ? 2 people ?! Those guys are studs but we have 4 kids playing D1 ball and you donkey stomped us ! All it took was a bit of bad senior leadership infighting and kids quitting before a semi final game to destroy us ! And we was at full strength in Stanks Vegas and got our tails kicked

2 kids really? McKenzie's current senior class is the most talented they've ever had. And it's done in all 3 major boys sports. And leadership infighting and quitting? How's that possible with the best staff in the area

Idk where he'll go I'm just stating the facts. But I disagree I see him as an all purpose back maybe use him in a debo samuel type roll if you play him at receiver. And random advice Taylor will never read from a stranger on the internet. If any school puts you at db transfer immediately.

    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
