I’d have to agree.  I know he didn’t like the way it ended at McNairy.  He’s been at Middleton last 3 years and he deserves a 2nd chance imo

Why not just go out and hire the very best candidate that give you a real chance to win a state championship?  In the end it’s all about working to win a state title.

Two very good prospects for the job are Ken Bingham and Jill Forbes. Ken is well liked in Hardin County and Jill was a basketball star at Hardin County and Union.

Ken would be great.   I think he left before because he wasn’t licensed to teach

Are these two candidates for the job? I graduated high school with Jill. She was a heck of a ball player.

Because for some reason that seems too hard for people to understand. Nobody's perfect, but if that was the way all decisions in education were made, the drama would be cut in half and job performance would be doubled. Lot's easier to use the good 'ol boy system and hire someone you "owe" a favor to, or that you know you can benefit from later.

You don't have to teach to coach...a few more obstacles, but it can be done. Worst thing is not being in the building with the team during the day.

Yes you can but you still have to feed your family and just coaching in a public school is not going to pay well.  Even if they give you a non certified position it is not going to pay enough.  If you did it and kept your current job, your boss would have to be very flexible because of the schedule you would have to keep to coach the team.  It would be hard

I totally understand the "GOOD OLE BOY" system.  That is the main reason that coaching is not much better in Tennessee high school athletics.
