Chattanooga Recruiting

Why hasn't Tyner been looked at for violations?  Saw Recently that another kid cropped his jersey and placed Tyner on it.  This coach has a track record for getting transfers in.  He was once an assistant at Brainerd and they got alot of transfers.  Since he has been gone from Brainerd now Tyner has the transfers.  Does this coach not want to compete? How is he allowed to cheat when these kids are not moving and Tyner is a magnet school....their zone is small.

Because TSSAA doesn't "look" at anyone on their own. Someone will have to report a specific rule violation committed by an employee at Tyner (meaning outlining illegal contact with a specific potential player), and provide some sort of evidence. Making up the rules and enforcing them are two different things, as are investigating infractions vs. evaluating evidence.

tSSAA has been made aware of these things even them playing a player that was not eligible and they did nothing.....they just take the schools word for it and turn a blind eye

That's what I'm saying...you have to drop it in their lap in a form that leaves nothing for them to discover on their own.

Win games. Stop worrying about what everyone else and focus on getting better as a coach and making your team better. Do you not live in the world we live in today?? Kids are the ones who want to play with their friends tyner wins games. That’s why they are a hot bed for kids along with being a great school. Kids transfer at every level of the game pros request trades move around all the time. It’s the way things are. At the end of the day you are hurting no one but the kid in this situation. Win games kids won’t leave. Be a good coach kids won’t leave. Crying isn’t going to get you no where.

Win games! Coach better! Try to relate to the kids! Be better all around! Quit crying! Tyner is a hot bed for kids bc they win at a great school! Kids are transferring at all levels of the game just the way things are. Pros do it in a way too. Crying or trying to throw someone under the bus isn’t going to help nobody just going to hurt the kid at the end of the day. Get better. Stop blaming everyone else. Respect the game!

Documents will be sent to TSSAA in reference to violations. The player in question was not very smart in going to Tyner because he text team members from his former school and friends on how he was recruited by the Tyner coach and a parent. He also told his teammates and Coaches that he will get a address to attend Tyner these text threads have been copied and also sent to TSSAA. Not only that his stepfather is on the coaching staff at the previous school so there is factual evidence that the player hasn't moved. Im a parent and got all this information from my son who showed me the txt. So if TSSAA overlooks this then that's a major problem.  End of the day if your a good Coach you make the talent you have better by coaching them up not recruiting over them, this is HS not college.

I'm sorry but if you're a parent and have a player that wants to play at the next level and be recruited by 4 year institutions Tyner is not the school to attend. Yes they win a few games but tell me in the last 6yrs how many of those kids qualify academically to receive a scholarship from a 4 year institution in basketball?? I want my son in an environment that will not only enhance his skills athletically but also academically but let me guess you are one of those parents that just care about winning games. Want more! its distasteful to see such talented players not be recruited higher because they are not being held accountable for their poor grades. Its bigger than winning basketball games.
