Wow. That is crazy. This close to the season? Must be more to the story. I wonder what happens to his staff. He basically brought every assistant coach and middle school coach over from Lake County with him. What do all those guys do now? Just seems like a weird story.

If I'm not mistaken,one has been hired to be the head coach at Lake Co high school and another one as his assistant.This was about 3 or 4 weeks ago so maybe they knew something then.

I did not know that, but that is good then for those guys to be locked in somewhere and secure. It is very possible this has been on the horizon and Puckett has been looking for a job and at that point the assistants knew to have their eyes open too.

There is a world of difference between the caliber of coaches a coach coaches against in 5A and 6A and that of 1A and 2A.  Sometimes they can make the transition and sometimes they cannot.

A ton of difference. Between coaches and teams. It’s just a different world. I’ll also say though.. sometimes, in every classification, there’s administrators that do not set their coaching staffs up for success.
