Looking fwd to watching Blackman this year... its gonna be a great season! I assume other than Baylor/Red Bank @ Jamboree in Chattanooga all other scrimmages are at home.

I’m ready to see who will stand out on both sides of the ball for Blackman, diva egos need to go out the window this team defense plays a B+ or A- level they can make a run

Here is what I am certain of, Tygard is a real sharp cookie. He has enough finesse to build up players , while still keeping them grounded and humble. Kids are going to read the papers, look on Coach T  listen to family members tell them how great they are, but I would bet money that Coach has that in check. I also would bet he is sharp enough to know that he proved the offense can be run effectively in this division and on just about anybody. He has seen all the film he needed to see to know the kryptonite was our defensive side of the ball. I am sure he has invested heavily and plentiful to make big improvements on that side of the ball. It is also important to remember that they were all very young and under developed and without any real experience Playing a senior heavy competition in this region. I am very optimistic where the team is heading. I watched a couple seasons of little to no discipline or respect on the sidelines. Tygard will not have that ,,,,,put that in the bank. Looking forward to a really good season with some real high expectations.  Go Blaze!

My son is a youngin on the team, everybody just has to buy in. I’m not worried about the offense, maybe the run game a little but everything else I don’t see nobody slowing them down. Defense has to have dogs this season. William and Terrence will do good on the defensive front need that interior right. Secondary will do better also but linebackers have to smack everything

    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
    • I am pro coach all day long but there are some knucklehead hires for sure.
    • This is a great question. The retirement seemed a little premature. I do not know the coach personally, but I hope he has found what he is looking for. He is a fine Christian man with a lot of principle and morals about him. I wish him nothing but the best. There are some players in the box for the next coach. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out.
    • Agree? Your the one defending a dude with your life for getting a DUI. That's the worst thing on here.
    • Can’t believe no one posted on this and gave this team the recognition they deserve!  AAU team Tennessee went to Iowa and done what no other team had ever done and took down Iowa and the strength by holds in AAU nationals!!! Yes McCallie had a solid group of 8th graders and they showed up but we had an AAU team that wrestled their butt off and we didn’t just place in the top 5 … we won the whole dang thing! Yes the NHSCa’s were happening and that may have hurt but never once had TN ever won the national folkstyle duals national championship!!  It was a team effort and some amazing young kids!!!    We are not a fly over state any more… on a side note : we have any even better team for cadet National's team duals in Utah and have a chance to sweep both duals which would be unprecedented!!! However the funds aren’t there and USA isn’t in th position to help these kids get to utah as was AAU that got us to Iowa! Stay tuned for some oppertunities to help make a statement for Tn!!!
