DRAGONS @ WILDCATS

Excellent rivalry game. That last drive by The Ridge was just smash mouth Mano y Mano. Really fun game to watch. That’s the way this rivalry is supposed to be. Through all the injuries, our boys pulled through. Really proud of them. Respect to Clinton, they’re a tough team. Defense was super stout. Very impressive to hold Clinton to only 14, and really limited their passing game. Brian Kelly was ALL OVER THE PLACE. What a LB he is.

Yea, this is one of those games where ( I am getting old) I feel bad for the Clinton fans. They really played a good game. Good looking team.

That final drive for OR I was like, "where's that been"? They bowed their necks there.

On the spot that CHS didn't make the 1st down late, I'd have to see it on replay, I thought it was a 1st down when it happened. Either CHS got a bad spot OR the way the tackle happened, the CHS TB flipped in the air and he might have landed with the ball backwards instead of forward. Have to see the replay to know. The tackle knocked the snot out of 23 for OR he hit him so fast and hard( or was it Kelly????).

Well I thought we was in trouble tonight. All those players out and breaking in a new system. So much new for Oak Ridge but one thing stays the same.We just don't lose to Clinton.Coach Cummings with the great call early working the TE.Even better late going jumbo and whipping them straight up man on man.RWR

I don’t think it was as pretty a win as you make it sound, but that doesn’t matter to me. We have a W in our column and they have an L. I’ll take it. We will get better.

The Clinton back got flipped and came down with the ball back toward the line of scrimmage, It's where the ball comes down, not the body. It was very close on the measurement, inches. Kelly was all over the place, he had to come out for a play with a cramp and I was thinking can't lose him too.

He had to of had or assisted on 15-20 tackles. He’s taken up where Berven left off.

Very tough hard played by both teams. Clinton is much improved over last season and have replaced their graduation losses well. QB is very hard to contain and can beat you with his feet or his arm. Made a very precise throw for the Clinton TD right at the half, receiver was able to make the catch and get one foot down. Wildcats miss skill players who were out, but the ones like Dozier that played took up the slack. Nice throws by Sharpe to Kelly on the tight end seam route. Wildcats need to clean up penalties that helped stall two 2nd quarter drives that might have put them up 21.

No time to rest, Bluebellies from Fox Den come into Blankenship and they are coming off a 42-28 loss to Maryville, the fact they scored 28 on the Rebels poses a problem for the Cats. Dragons have an out of region game vs Cherokee and then mighty Powell, a 42-28 winner over a tough Karns team tonight.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
