Yes. Forgot about the DB confusion.  I think they could be ranked higher, but I'm not sure they can beat elizabethton.  I haven't got to watch any of their games.  WHat do you think of their ranking?

Injuries have plagued Powell since game 1.  QB1 has not played in the first 2 games (went out in first quarter of AC game second drive).  Played Karns (week 3) without there 3 top WR.  When Powell gets healthy they will be just fine.  Run game for Powell has looked very strong.  So when they get all there players back they will be a tough out.  Better to be banged up early than late, IMO.  

Are you going to be blocking for them? I heard you do that pretty well...

We have 4 traditionally tough games coming up.... Elizabethton, Morristown West, CAK, Science Hill.    I don't want to put the cart before the horse so let's say being in the top 10 is a great honor for Boone.      If we can beat Elizabethton, which I think we can, then I'll feel a lot better about the ranking.         There is still a lot of football to be played

Polls are usually just a guess this early in the season. I think the top two are about right and good be the Clinic Bowl game,   Nolensville is probably better than Munford or Springfield by the wins they have so I would have them 3rd, Even though Henry County lost to Beech, I would have them 4th behind Nolensville. Oak Ridge is playing 6A teams out of their Region schedule, a close loss to a good Bearden team, so I would have then behind Henry County at 5th. Not sure about Boone, they have beaten three pretty weak teams so far. I think they would be 8th. The rest would fall in there in the 2nd 5.

i will bet you any amount of money that none of the teams on this list make it to the Clinic Bowl

I honestly dont care about the polls, I would rather play a tougher schedule personally but Springfield has a couple tough games later on and their players on the roster has experienced good playoff runs the last several years so I am not that worried about it. The bottom line is they will be in the playoffs and have a shot, at the end of the day that is all that matters...

TBH neither team has played anyone yet. It’s not a knock on Springfield, just my opinion. I don’t think we will really know how good they are until the Henry County game. The same can be said for Nolensville. I don’t think we will know much about them until they play Rockvale and maybe even Page. I’m still not counting out Green Hill and MJ. 5A is a little crazy to me and I think it’s just way to early to tell. 

Your both correct IMHO.  Our first two  games were  rivalry games.  The Greenbrier game is for the Pitt-Carroll Trophy.  Pitt and Carroll were Robertson County friends who both paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country in Vietnam.  Their deaths happened relatively close in time to each other.  One went to school at Greenbrier and one at Springfield.  
 

The Clarksville- Springfield game has been played 99 times.

Our third game was a Region game against Clarksville Northeast.  

Our next two games are against Wilson Central and then Kenwood.  Our first real test IMHO will be when Big Red rolls into the JAC.  
 

I don’t see how Coach Wilson could have scheduled the first two games differently and still honored tradition

Nolensville is very talented this year but if they play like they did last week they won't make it to the championship game.  Something like 5-6 unsportsmanlike penalties due to lack of discipline.  The coaching staff needs to tighten that up.
