Tullahoma lost 20 senior starters from last years team, new coach Sisk, promoted from asst. coach. They're very young this year, and have been inconsistent on offense on defense so far.

Both Tullahoma and Marshall County have played Shelbyville. Tullahoma beat Shelbyville 9, and Marshall by 22. I know you can't always compare scores, I would pick Marshall County by 14.

Very young? I read on here before the season started that this team is filled with seniors also.

Marshall county will win by as much as they want. More than half of last years Tullahoma senior team was made up of players from Franklin county  and other surrounding schools. They don't have that this year. The bad thing is North middle school in Franklin county has a head coach that encouraged his son and a few other athletes to go to Tullahoma high school, Why in the world would ones that are in charge let a coach be coaching at your middle school that is a good recruiter for a high school that isn't in your county ?

Whoever said that, don't what they're talking about  I live in Tullahoma, they have  3 senior starters, the rest are juniors, and sophomores. Go on max  preps and look at there roster, you will see that there young.

It was one of the frequent Tullahoma posters. He was saying last years and this junior class we’re both huge.

@Chiledeme Salty much? Despite the fact last year's State Championship team was made up of Franklin County kids or not, it's obvious why they made that choice and it seemed to be the right one. If anyone's the blame, blame Franklin County's admin for the high turnover from the top to bottom. Blame them for hiring coaches that don't know how to coach talent and not putting them in a position to succeed. Don't worry though, ya'll should when the state championship this year with that bunch of seniors ya'll have, that's what the community thinks anyway. If Tullahoma has a better program than the school I'm currently sending my children to, heck, I'd send my kids there too.

Oh no sir! I think you may have misunderstood me. I’m a Marshall Alum and believe me I bleed blue and white. I could care less how many counties Tullahoma is recruiting kids from (LMAO), I just said “WOW” in my post that someone actually came out and said it. So, in short, I commend YOU for actually having the balls to say what REALLY is going on over there!!! I’m not on here to make enemies or really even piss anyone off!!! I just love high school football and enjoy talking shop like we do on here!!!

Excellent point here! I'm curious to see if the talent that Tullahoma has had recently will jump ship to a "better program" as you say since the coaching has changed and some parents are impatient for results thus sending their kids elsewhere. I'm not sure where the "better program" is right now but Tullahoma is going to be on a decline. It's inevitable when you've been on top.

    • I went to practice yesterday and liked what I saw for the most part. Derek and crew have done a good job during the off-season. I was very impressed with the size of some of those boys on the offensive line. My only regret was one of the boys I was really pulling for to have a good year was dismissed from the team. I have to applaud the coaches for setting examples for the others, no one is bigger than the team. One other thing, I was hoping with that big rain we got this week some of that  yellow paint would dissolve but it didn't.
    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
    • Word is Jason Maxwell will be new AD - he is currently head baseball coach. Also heard Roc might be headed to Pope as an assistant coach.
    • you must not know how tssaa operates lol
