Stars sit back and relax this week Farragut is better than Bearden. Maryville might have a first half hangover from last week but Maryville big 41-10

I'm not so sure about that.  Farragut/Bearden should be a heck of a game this time around.

And is the game not at Bearden this year?

What makes you say that HTV? Exciting rivalry for sure! Excluding the Covid year the last 5 meetings have each been decided by less than a touchdown!

Have gotten to see Maryville play a couple times this year. That defense is as good as usual. They'll be fine!

Maryville should be back on track this week because I promise you life wasn't that great this week at practice. They lost to Alcoa in a closer game than the score said so the program hasn't drove off the road and into a ditch. I sort of knew if we got into a game that  big decisions had to be made in an instant we wouldn't fair well. How do I know that, our offense is well known for a knockout punch right before halftime in almost all ballgames which has looked like we were the ones getting knocked out this year. Running a man 25 times in a game isn't the answer, That's like going to the gas station every payday and buying lottery tickets expecting to do go home with ten times what you spent. I have confidence in our staff they'll take care of that and make adjustments. Bearden provides a good defense which will be a good barometer to see how well we can get back on track or stay in the ditch. I watched the Bearden and West game which reminded me of watching a mouth climb a drape which led me to question marks regarding West more than I realized how well the Bulldogs defense was. Maryville by 3 touchdowns.

I watched the video of that.  Not sure what ppl see in that team other than a decent defense.

It's more about the HC and the recruiting, or so called recruiting that the HC and his assistants are doing. The defense is good. The offense is good vs people that don't play good defense. Here is the main point. The defense was really good last year. So maybe it's the same as last year? Who knows, Maryville usually brings out the truth in their opponents.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
