How does West Carroll garner more votes than Lake County?

This group of 1A schools is maybe the best group listed/ranked in awhile.. lots of great teams, will be very interesting to see who gets to the championship from the West brackets . I can’t help but think that, with the gauntlet that that team from the West will have gone through, they will be heavy favorites to win the gold.. but the favorite & best team doesn’t always win, do they? Line ‘em up, play it out! Of course I’m mighty high on these Dresden Lions this year. Time will tell how it all falls out.

the west may be the favorites  to win the gold but they will be beat to H e l l  by the time they get there - no joke

My guess would be that one of those teams is undefeated and the other lost a game by 50. I honestly don’t mind that pollsters give a nod to teams who have good records. Championships are decided on the field.

Fayetteville beat a very good 4A Upperman team.  That's all I need to know.  I expect "The City" to be representing one side when the 1A State Championship rolls around.

The West is an even heavier favorite to win Gold this year compared to last year. BUT, the east will be ready to play.

Wayne county shouldnt be close to the top 10. Fayetteville put 48 points on them in the 1st quarter and had to play jv the other 3 quarters. Wayne county starters  only scored 12 on their jv..

Sadly that may be the difference between the top of 1A & right around the 10 spot or so.   It happens.
