Heckert really going 182?  Two weight class jump but is a big boy.

Belcher returning to 138?  Rough cut.

Gabe Ferrell from Crockett should prove to be top 4 at either 195 or 220. Lost to Atwood in semis at state 3-1 in sudden victory.  Beat the 2nd place finisher twice during the season.  Draw was poor.

Other than that not much to say.  Looks reasonable.

Reasonable…. possibly

But 4 guys that WON the event that this organization hosted aren't number 1

Change the name of the event if you are just putting whoever you want in the rankings

I mean Jarvis competed at 132 at WNO and got beat, then just recently got beat by Caleb U at the grappler.  We need Hamm doing these.

Kids will stop going if the event isn’t legitimate opportunity to earn a ranking.

Sebron has a more recent win over Axel…. that’s prob why he was invited to the event

Jojo and Dupil are 1-1…. Jojo showed up and won the spot , Dupil didn’t

Logan F wrestled and won the spot at 145…. BUT Hunter M is injured and definitely the best 145…. Hunter, Fowler, Sturgill

Max Norman is hard to bet against…. he showed up , won the event, has many ranked wins, Dupil is a stud but not a huge argument of him being ranked above Max…. he showed up and won.

Yes Heckert will be 182 to begin the season.
IMO Curtis from Fairview should be number one and Atwood number two.

Is Cooper Hilton now going to high school in Tennessee? I thought he wrestled for Wyoming Seminary out of PA.

I agree with Rasslinking... don't think you can justify some of these rankings since they neglect recent head to head wins (Fowler over Sturgill, Colson over Ritchie, Uhorchuk over Little). I also like Curtis over Atwood and really hope we get to see that one this year.

Still fun to read these and I appreciate TNUSAWrestling for taking the time to throw these together. Thank you!

    • Couple of thoughts: 1.  I just don't understand all the intricacies in TSSAA transfer rules anymore.    William Blount had a kid that played the final part of the basketball season with them this year,  that played at Hardin Valley last year, and played football for Bearden this year.  I say that to say, I know the coaches and the AD and the Principal at WB and I will never believe they would do something they knew was wrong.  They are men of character.  I BELIEVE the same thing about the coaches and administration at Maryville.  Call me gullible, but these are men and women of integrity in my experiences with them. 2.  Much like the transfer of the Clemmer kid a couple of years ago, with Smith, the football team is getting a huge boost, but the impact on the basketball team will be just as great or maybe even greater.  With Smith playing post, it frees the Sigmund kid who will be coming back from injury, to play more with his face to the basket.  The Rebels basketball squad in my mind, will be "the program" in East Tennessee next year.
    • Could not agree more. After this year, McKenzie's new coach will have their work cut out for them. Staying in 1A would definitely be a huge plus. Most years there is not much difference in the top 5- 1A and 2A teams across the state, but after the top 5 or so there is normally a huge drop off for 1A. Regular season region play is a lot easier for 1A in West TN  right now.
    • Word is Jason Maxwell will be new AD - he is currently head baseball coach. Also heard Roc might be headed to Pope as an assistant coach.
    • you must not know how tssaa operates lol
    • I agree. A lot more people are starting to see what is really going on around here and how a certain few board members are abusing their power. Eyes are starting to open.
