You don’t have to answer that question as we all know they would have an difficult time operating the church bake sale.

It's not perfect, not even close, but the TSSAA looks pretty competent compared to other state associations

South Pittsburg, Oakland, and Alcoa are the only teams to play in all 4 venues. Brentwood Academy will have to make to to Chattanooga to stay in that club. Trousdale County needs to make it to Chattanooga, but have played and won in Nashiville, Murfreesboro, and Cookeville. Prior to Nashville, TC played in State games from '72-'75 but from what i know those were at different locations.
BigDaddyDave
With Tennessee being such a long state, travel to the state championships can be expensive and just a flat out hassle. Trying to find a venue that is geographically accommodating is a nightmare. So, why not have a rotating schedule of some sort, where the games will move every reclassification cycle between, I don’t know, 3 cities? Or alternate every year between 2 sites. Odd years have it more to the East and Even years have it more to the West. Also, on a totally unrelated note, let’s stop with daylight savings time and adjust the clock 30 minutes (split the difference) and just leave it be. Ok. Tear my ideas apart! You say that TSSAA is poorly operated because you're looking from the wrong angle...if fair play, equal enforcement of rules, consideration of everyone's priorities, and plain old common sense was their goal you'd have a point. In reality, the ultimate objective of TSSAA is to maximize their intake of revenue while limiting expenses and keeping member schools just happy enough to ensure that there's not an uprising of the magnitude of looking for other options. Of course, the organization in itself isn't really the primary benefactor of their efforts either, it's just that the better the TSSAA does, the better the people "earning" a salary do...maximum return for minimum effort is the mission, and they're great at that.

But the actual Clinic Bowl was by far one the best of charities that proceeds could go to. Do any charities get the money now?
