Both Lake County and Dyer County are on there but the third non-region was out of Jackson. Something may have changed since I last looked.

Lake, Dyer and NorthSide are the non-region for Dburg.

Covington, Ripley, and Dyersburg all have an 8 region games. Covington elected to go with Munford and Brighton for non-region games. Dyersburg went with Lake County and Obion Central. I don’t know who Ripley is going to play, but I’m assure Crockett County could be one of them. Milan is in an 8 team region as well, and I’m sure South Gibson is one of the non-region teams.

Not true. Covington, Ripley, and Dyersburg are in an eight team region. You get 7 region games, because you don’t play yourself. Covington will be obligated to play in-county rivals Munford and Brighton. That leaves one non-region game to be scheduled. I don’t know who that will be.

Hey @Tigersandcats are you asking if the Tigers and Tomcats are going to play each other next year, or are you saying that they have actually scheduled a game.   It would be a great game between two outstanding quarterbacks and teams..

I saw it on a partial schedule for Hardin County, but didn’t know if it was legitimate or not. What I saw was October 6th 2023. I was really asking as a question though to see if any of you guys knew or not. I would like to see that happen though. It would toughen up Hardin schedule a lot, which they need IMO. Then with SGC being in 6 4A next year along with Lexington and hopefully keeping USJ on the schedule we would have a more quality schedule to play. I know it’s hard for y’all to find teams to play and would say the same for HC based off their location mainly. Not a lot of bigger schools near Savannah.

oh and congratulations on a really great season for the Tomcats. I know it didn’t end the way y’all would have liked, but still a lot to be proud of.

I don't know anything but the region schedule thanks to the TSSAA.  A HHS vs. HCHS game would be a fun one to watch, so I hope that works out.

Thanks!  The Cats had a great year and it was sad to see them lose.  But as you said, they have a lot to be proud of.  The Tigers had a great year as well.  Unfortunately, PC ended both of our seasons.  I congratulate the Firebirds, and I do wish them well in the championship game.

SGC will be a great addition to your schedule.  The Hornets play hard and they never give up!

Okay, I was wrong. It's an 8-team region, 7 region games, and 3 non-region games.

    • From my understanding, Jay Graham pretty much took over HC responsibilities in that game, so you can thank him. Cute Andy didn’t need help, though. Cute Andy could’ve beaten us without any assistant coaches.
    • Tax payer dollars are paid for certified teachers to "teach" and then coach. The primary job is to teach.  There are some district that ay awesome supplements and others that don't. Dyersburg and Dyer County are pretty close if I remember correctly. I would imagine that Football and basketball are above $10,000 now.  I've heard that Milan is $20,000 for boys basketball. I would imagine that football is more than that in Milan.  Collierville has camps that coaches get paid extra for. 3 camps a year, 100 kids a camp, $30,000 right there.  There are places like Memphis-Shelby County schools where the supplements are garbage even for the head coaches. I made less than $3,000 as the head assistant at Germantown in 2015 when we were 26-4 and one of the best teams in the Southeast. As a head middle school coach next year I will make between $4-5,000 at a municipal in Shelby County.  Coaches should be compensated for the jobs that are required but lets keep in mind that they are educators first.  It's pretty frustrating to other teachers that work their tale off teaching 6-7 classes a day to watch someone roam campus, not teach (or have very minimal responsibilities), and get paid the same (more with supplements) as a person who has the some years of experience or sometimes less.
    • This will get coaches leaving the profession very quickly if this kid wins this case. This is absurd...
    • yeah money aint right there anymore
