I'll go one step further and guarantee that McKenzie does not beat Tyner.

Mase got exposed. McKenzie has been all unfinished business this year. I still think Fayetteville was the most talented team in 1A & 2A but they didn’t get it done. Taylor gets a lot of the attention but Cassidy makes them go. This Friday I will be shocked if Clay stays within 28 but if Clay can win up front and eat clock and keep McKenzie off the field they will keep it respectable. I’m just keeping it real

Yeah, MASE was exposed. After seeing their strength of schedule, I wasn't just too terribly concerned but knew the Rebels still needed to come out and play tough. I said last week that Fayetteville scared me more than MASE.

We came out strong and put some pressure on them. For a couple of drives, MASE sparked to life, moved the ball well, and I thought we were going to have a contest on our hands like the Trenton game. In the second half though, MASE was so uninspired and had no motivation. With a little bit of adversity, you could see the finger-pointing and obvious frustration.

They've got some athletes on their team and had a good season. It'll be interesting to see what kind of threat they pose next year.

Agree Biggums. . City had the athletes but McKenzie had the Coaches and Discipline. Congrats to McKenzie for the win.

    • No offense intended,  but I will take the word of an actual administrator in that system on that question.
    • My guess is, this has absolutely nothing to do with athletics. I could be completely wrong. Just going to let this play out over the next few days/weeks before throwing accusations around. Funny how when OR benefits from “transfers” it is because of the incredible school system and never for athletics because most people can’t afford the “tuition”! Going to be interesting to say the least.    And if AC is turning anybody in, shame on them. They have benefited and work the system more than most over the years.
    • I think if either were their own school system then it wouldn't have happened. Of course a lot will make sense if they student who got their grades changed was an athlete
    • Eh, I just think they got caught. It was gonna happen sooner or later, no matter who ended up turning them in. Even Dragon92 knew they were cheating, one of the biggest Clinton fans in the world, and probably THE biggest on here.
    • I know Hickory is worried about Keith now that they beat OR. Wonder why he hasn't posted yet. Him and Benanti are awful quiet these days.
