Blackflag
East way down this year, McKenzie in a mercy rule
GrumpyBulldog
Haven't seen McKenzie play this season, but I know they are really, really good. Hanging 34 and shutting out MASE is impressive. MASE was hands down the best single A team I've seen in 30+ years. Good luck in Chattanooga. Fayetteville was the best Class A team I’ve seen this year and McKenzie beat them by 2 at home so I’ve got to believe they are just as good obviously. Clay is a huge underdog in this one. No one will expect them to be in the game so they won’t have anything to lose! They have athletes all over the field that much is for sure. For those of you that don’t know about Clay County I’d do my research. They had one of their own playing on ESPN tonight for the Tennessee Vols basketball team as a starter! This small school is no stranger to championship games. Most of these boys have one state championship ring already from the hard court in 2021’. So they will show up regardless of how big of an underdog they may be.

OldTownRoad
McKenzie is a great football team no doubt. Clay can't have back to back fumbles like they did tonight. However, I don't see this game being a running clock. Too much fight and pride from this group of seniors to roll over against anyone. If Clay plays like they did in the quarterfinals, they definitely have a puncher's chance. Should be a fun one!
PeskyPole
I gotta think the leaders of this McKenzie team remember what it felt like last year to ride home with the silver ball and have no plans to bring home another silver Edited November 26, 2022 by NigCuppy
powerp
The pecking order this year in 1 A was: Mckenzie Fayetteville Peabody/MASE Clay Gordonsville Nobody else was truly a legit contender. McKenzie is stout all the way around. I will be shocked if they don’t walk away with a 3 touchdown win at the minimum. That’s not a knock against Clay but a tip my hat to the Rebels. I know people will say you never know look at what SP did to them last year. Yes, and SP had two beasts on the defensive front that ate all game long and 3 very special playmakers on offense. CC doesn’t have those. Best of luck to both teams in a hard fought, injury free game! May the best team win. volwalker23
I think this one could get ugly but Clay Co will fight hard for sure. Congrats to both on a great season and good luck next week
