Riverside Vs Tyner for the shiny gold ball.

TYner lost to Alcoa. You cant say much about that. Although Alcoa did lose to West which was a very rare non private school loss.  Is alcoa down?

What we do know is that Marion, Trousdale and Watertown and Meigs are DOWN. Tyner has skated thru a barely better then Region 5 path. Have they truly been tested. We know Riverside has. We also know that if it's a flashy offense versus a slowdown fundamental team- championship games generally favor the latter. We also know that Riverside has been in more 11-8 type final score games than any team in 2A the last half decade. Dont sleep on these Panthers

So i have a genuine question seriously. You say Tyners offense is flashy and the slow down offense is fundamental. So what Tyner runs doesnt have any fundamentals? Its just athletes and thats it?

Kinda bizarre how fans of these rural teams keep calling the one inner-city team "undisciplined" and "dirty". Shocker.

Every week its the same thing. Tyner is just as physical, tough and well coached as these rural teams. And then try to tell you that what they are saying isnt what they are saying. TYNER is a inner-city school in the middle of a working class suburb its defiantly not the BRICKS

Never understand how beating everyone in front you is a bad thing because if they lose to one of these “down” teams its oh they are overhyped but beating them soundly is bad.Thats what ur suppose to do if ur the better team. Down or not. losing to Alcoa is bad when Tyner was in that game until a momentum killing fumble in the 3rd quarter then the wheels fell off. I don't think we win that game but they were in it most teams cant say that. 2021 the score was 28-0 at half this season it was 7-0 did alcoa come out flat or not take tyner serious probably  but tyner was playing tough DISCIPLINED FUNDAMENTAL football

Well it is kinda a code word.  I do believe saying high poverty, low parental support (sometimes due to multiple jobs or health), or any economic/cultural fact comes off as racist but applies to all races... inner city, mountain poverty, small towns with closes facories, or drought destroyed areas.  Even if not a racist statement, it is a widely accepted term( right or wrong)  coming from a non woke observor with no dog in the fight

Im gonna disagree with you. I've been around sports long enough as a player coach now a fan. When people toss out words like undisciplined, no fundamentals or Flashy they mean black. Watch any sports show and really listen to how white and black players are describe white players are “hard workers,” black players are “gifted,” white players are “intelligent,” black players have “instincts. Then how black athletes are described.. they are flashy undisciplined not fundamentally sound. Natural talent like dont work hard to get were they are. In 1997 Tyner won the state championship the news paper here in town described their team as organized Thug's words matter now he didnt use the word thugs but you knew from reading it what he was saying. You dont have to be “WOKE” to see the difference. Most threads on here this season about Tyner  havent heard anyone using those kinds of terms only in the last three weeks of playoff games have i started noticing people saying that kind of stuff wonder why that is? Westmoreland it was tyner is a dirty team when in fact WM was the dirtiest team I've seen all year. East Rob it was our players having racial crap said to them coming off the field at halftime just because they were winning after the game it was Tyner is the most arrogant team yet an ER player was the one punching one of our players while he was on the ground cause he was mad about losing saw it live and on video. Only thing i saw from that game was one of our players dancing to OUR bands music during a timeout in the 4th qt. The police had to escort the team to the locker room because the crowd had formed at the exit from the field as our players were coming off. Last week York couldnt say anything they got popped quick. And now this game its all the tropes about Tyner undisciplined, flashy no fundamentals

As far as the ER game goes. Yes a ER player was picked up and power drive to the ground. So he got up swinging towards the end of the game. Was he wrong for doing that absolutely got to control your emotions better than that. As far as getting escorted off the field totally false. Crowd did not form a exit. If you’re saying the two cops there watched them then yes two cops escorted them. Not the police. I thought Tyner was disciplined over all! Didn’t see much to make you want to judge them by bad character.

The kid tried to jump over 3 players did he expect to get caught and laid down? my overall experience at ER was positive i came away a fan actually. The police made them wait to exit and walked with them
