Betsy will still be down.   Greeneville will be Very very good.   I think AC drops off a lot

Nope. Down but not out. We're returning a lot of guys that can contribute. Maybe not state level but better than this year. This year's down team took the Champs to the wire twice.

Do you know if Elizabethton plays Boone next year?      I had heard that Boone was dropping all the usual out-of-region games and picking up some brand new teams but don't know if that's true.

Pearl wins state. Almost there whole team is coming back

Naw Our district is tough and that’s the first goal that we want to win even though I would love to see Haywood next year out North. I seen the comments saying the best team didn’t win etc after our championship game.

I believe so along with their receivers. They were very impressive against us.

all our skills are sophomores and juniors.

we lost the middle of our OLine but the guys behind them have played a lot due to injuries. One of them “A freshman” started against y’all and state championship.

I think the top 5 will be

AC

PC

Greene

Haywood

Marshall No order…

Haywood will be undefeated again along with AC or Greenville.

Look for AC to have a significant drop next year.  They'll have a few nice pieces but not nearly as complete as this year.

6-4 floor and 8-2 ceiling. At least as it stands now.

The Mavs have a system and is open to new players that like to play for a State Championship team. It exciting at AC greatest show on turff. A retrieving tee Dog in Ella, just hosted the huge East Tennessee versus Knoxville and head Coach Davey Gillum won the ball back to East Tennessee 21-14. Largest crowd I have seen in a long time. Some great area bands. So AC has built it now they should come. Just an absolutely wonderful atmosphere and wonderful place to be in this generation. And it appears AC has the first Two players to sign the new NIL sponsorship program that TSSAA cleared to be legit as long as the students do not use the school logo. Exciting time for all.

Lakeway Christian had the first NIL kid. Just a few hours after the TSSAA vote. There was a big article in the Tennessean about it.

    • He may have possibly said that to get the best out of him. Back when I was in school word got out I was going to transfer and Coach Story popped off and ask Coach Wilson in front of the team if Maryville was going to get a jock strap in return on this trade. That got back to me and I got fired up and stayed just to show them up. Now today Coach Story is one of my best friends.
    • Dylan's Dad, I'm glad you replied. I wanted to reply but wasnt willing to take the bait. There were 20 wrestlers on the team. I may be mistaken and correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 5 of the 20 attend McCallie right now and one will next year. At most, there are/were 6 kids on that team who attend McC. That leaves 14 other team members who have ZERO affiliation with McC (outside of maybe some friends) who represented our state to the best of their ability and wrestled their butts off that weekend. That weekend was a first for Tennessee and obviously a small step in the right direction for us as a state. Congratulations TEAM TN BLACK!
    • Danny Wilson is the only one that come's to mind but I don't know where he is at now.
