Stangs were young this year and overachieved, IMO.  They really need to get over the hump, and hope 2023 is that year.  The past decade, they have had several opportunities to win the gold ball.   Eubanks is just the next in line of great QBs they have had running that offense - Warbritton, Pearson, Ensley - Hope Gray can get it done.    Seems like they have always ran into a another "once in a decade or 25 year team" in the quarters or semifinals (Cornersville, Lake County come to mind)

I know Swenson is married to that offense, but Eubanks in an RPO system would be incredible.  Same with Ensley.

With Rivers coming back healthy next year, hopefully he can fill in for the role Flowers played on this team this past season. He was sorely missed this year on the defensive side of the ball.

Hopefully we made enough progress in the passing game this year for Swenson to incorporate it a little more into the offense. Our biggest weakness remains our inability to move the ball when we get behind the chains and behind the score. If you only pass when everyone in a 5 mile radius knows its coming then of course your chances for success are going to be significantly lower.

You mentioned Warbritton there’s one on this team. don’t understand why he didn’t get more touches on offense this year. He’s the only one that kelp Huntingdon in the game against Riverside.

Agree.   Would like to see him touch it more.  Tough to argue with the W-L results from Swenson, but hope he can break through.   He's had really good QB talent the last decade.

I heard union city and Martin refused to play Huntingdon since they weren’t in the same region anymore.

    • This late in the year, you’d have to think they’d go with an Asst. on staff, right? I’m pretty new to the area so still learning how folks do things around here…if Woods stays there to teach, it could be hard on a new guy/staff coming in…
    • Well, your Big Western Hunt better turn up some Zebras to come graze on the Stones to make the jungle gametime ready again and make sure the plumber bros. still will come service the facilities at the Mecca. I hope your weekend is Fowl. Tell Rip hello from the Five Oh. Maybe the Gravedigger will catch a ride with Alphaniner on a flyover soon to BNA.
    • It’s not hearsay, just patently false. As one of those young coaches he apparently “ran off”, coach never once ridiculed or degraded anyone. Sure he challenged kids and coached them very hard,  but we have different definitions of you call that degrading. Coach Hammontree changed my life when he gave me the chance to work for him. I learned more about being a man and caring for the people around me in 4 years working for him than I did in 20 years of my life. No one sacrificed more than he did. I left Heritage because I felt there would never be the support necessary to help the program succeed. I’m tired of hearing people drag others down especially those they truly don’t know. Coach has moved on and a new coach is there. Just let the man live and root for the team.
    • Waiting on the Great One.   White Horse and Rip have a big weekend in the woods, and the Sheriff is working the overtime here.      Turkey season awaits…..Big Gobblers everywhere.
    • He won first at maryville so he did something right
