Spoke directly to the principal, Mr. Brookshire, who gave me the info. He is part of selection committee. I am no reason to believe he lied to me. Believe it or not.

Well II have seen the emails sent by both Brian Hanley and Jimmy Stinnett so I can tell you first hand that both of the voted for Greg Ryan.  So if that is what Mr. Brookshire told you yes he lied. But I know him better than that so maybe you have made a mistake in what you heard. I personally have sent Mr. Brookshire a request for every vote that was made during this whole debacle. I hope I get it soon. Be cause if all 6 of these people say they did what they felt was right for our kids and school and our community the they should not have a problem with the public seeing their votes, unless they have something to hide.

Public records request...if a vote was taken while a board meeting was called to order, it's required of the board to provide you with a copy of the minutes at your request. They can charge you a nominal fee for materials, but absolutely can not deny you the information. No need to bicker back and forth with he said/she said when you can get the actual vote count as cast.

If votes were submitted by email instead of at a called meeting, sounds to me like care was taken to see that the FOI didn’t apply to the process. When you can’t get a straight answer (or in some cases, any answer) about how votes were cast, you have to conclude there’s something to hide.

This has been a hatchet job from the word go, carefully orchestrated by self-serving politicians and administrators.

I am glad someone remembered that.  There was a turnover on the school board really fast, really sudden.

Oh yeah, I remember. I also remember that once it leaked to the news stations it really started to come apart. That may be when people found out and got their pitchforks.

Maybe that's what Greenback needs, someone needs to gets a good journalist on this (if there are any anymore). Maybe they can dig down and find out what is going on and expose it for the world to see.

Amen.Thx trader!Nothing more nothing less. Its some all us small communities have.

If I seem to be more involved than I have a right to be, I've seen it happen... back when I was recently graduated there was another high school in our area. Sardis and Scotts Hill were 5 miles apart, with towns very similar in size... both were slated to be closed and consolidated into Lexington (15 miles north) but the Scotts Hill folks had pitchforks and torches at the ready. Long story short, Sardis was closed and Scotts Hill survived. Scotts Hill is still a small, tight knit community and the school is flourishing. Sardis is a ghost town, and the remnants of the school were finally torn down last week. Again, once the doors are chained shut it's over... fight for what you love tooth and nail!

I'm not an attorney, but I can tell you that it's illegal to deliberate to a decision (vote) outside a called meeting. If there was a (no) vote to hire and it failed, you are definitely privileged to see the results. If the only vote taken was to hire (yes) the person awarded the job, I guess you'll just have to decide whom to believe.

Sheriff Roscoe and Boss Hogg did it by email for a reason. Everything's crooked in Loudon County.

    • QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid.. Thanks again! Sells
