Blackman is only Tygard's 2nd HC gig as far as I'm aware. Making a guy the highest paid public school coach in the state (if the numbers are true) will certainly ensure some loyalty.

With any coaching change, your going to have turnover, even more so when it's a coach that's a complete change in philosophy. Blackman doubled their win total this year. Cleveland won't lack for scoring points and it sounds like their defense has been pretty solid. That might get tested a little bit bc he's not shy about onside kicks. Interested to see how this turns out

If you look at his coaching history , he never plants his flag. He has moved around every few years. Cleveland would be another stepping stone.

Their defense has been very good. Just 0 consistent offense! But who knows. I’m just waiting for the news to drop. Word on the street is, neither the principal or the AD has said anything to those existing coaches just about to leave them high and dry. Looks like a very terrible move on their especially when the current staff has done ALOT.

Tyler Manes, was the DC at Tyner this year, and no Chandler is up-tempo offensive minded

CCT cut his teeth in Defense, until he went to Ravenwood. 1st HS gig was in Boogerland as DC for Fant.
