AAA News: After 10 seasons at Hillsboro, Sarah Rucker has been named the new Brentwood Bruins head coach.  Rucker guided Hillsboro to the Burros first state tournament since 1982 this past season. 

 

Single A News: After serving as asst. coach the last couple of years, Rachel Hudgins has been named the head coach of the Hickman County Volleyball Team. She is a 2017 Hickman County grad and played collegiately at Freed-Hardeman University. 

 

College news: Vanderbilt names Anders Nelson from the University of Kentucky as its head volleyball coach. The Commodores will begin competing in the 2025-26 season. Vandy has not had a volleyball team since the 1979-1980 campaign.

      QUICK UPDATE -  First, I see a lot of wrestling names that I recognize on that GoFundMe.  THANK YOU so much for helping this family.   After the long surgery on Sunday morning to repair his neck, Jacob suffered a collapsed lung.  Sometimes this happens after long surgeries.  They had to put him on a ventilator to get his breathing back on track.  He came off the vent on Monday morning and they put a BIPAP on him to help control his breathing.  As of today, Thursday, the BIPAP came off and he is breathing well on his own.  He is working towards drinking a glass of water and hopefully eating some solid food at some point in the near future. Jacob can "feel" when someone touches his legs, but there is still no movement.  His parents are beginning to prepare for him to be moved to the Shepherd Center in the next few days.  He will be there in Atlanta for 30-45 days.  Im sure he will receive excellent treatment. Please continue to pray for healing for him and if you are so moved, please contribute to the gofundme link above to help in any way you can.  The go fund me is doing well, but this is going to be a very long road for these guys Im afraid..
