Not that, more specifically on an ejection..

In all honesty, from my point of view coach was just asking about the strike zone because it changed a lot within an inning. Nothing hostile, no yelling, just a simple question and the ump just says no more and Coach says something along the lines of “we would like to know” and boom he got tossed. Very weak ejection and I’ve heard the appealed and won, so no suspension.

It won't happen, but the TSSAA needs to adjust their "suspension/fines" when it comes to coaches ejections.  There's a lot of freedom that head coaches will get more than their assistant/players, and sometimes head coaches can use it to their power.

I'm not saying that's what happened here in this case, but if he wasn't warned or restricted (which from your words he wasn't) then there shouldn't been an ejection to begin with because the umpire didn't follow his protocol. Result, he won the appeal.

Definitely a situation that shouldn’t have happened, plus it was the first inning. Peabody made a late comeback but the early lead was just too much

You can see it all on NFHS Network. Top half of the inning Peabody’s 3 hole hitter gets rung up on a pitch that almost hit him (not crowding the plate like other hitters) and bottom half of the inning you decide where the 3-2 pitch is that scores the first run of the game is. With these games being broadcast and the camera literally right behind home plate you can see out and in pretty clear.

Was that way the whole game, the zone went from a college zone one inning to a little league zone

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
