But I do agree that that should be a no brainer.  I just confirmed he has 3 championships and he has a runner-up as well.  He coached at Oak Ridge too in 2020 when they went to state but lost.

Do you know the name?

The person at Greenback said he doesn't want his name on here.  So she won't tell me.  Said he's coached at Clinton, Grace, Fulton, AC, and Oak Ridge.  He's was there for 3 titles at Fulton and a runner-up at Oak Ridge.  Both years at AC they went 12-1.

 You also have to remember what capacity  were these rings won ? Coordinator  , assistant  , assistant to the assistant etc ...   With all the turnover at HC  in the area and 3 rings in the mix kinda makes a man wonder .  With all that being said this is why little schools like this never really change.

He was an assistant for championships, the Head Freshman Coach and Varsity assistant at Oak Ridge and he is currently a defensive coordinator she said.

 Gotcha sounds like a pretty easy decision ... Unless theirs a darkhorse in the mix.

The text I got says he put he stated that if he gets it barring they don't just get rid of him...that win lose or draw his plan is to stay there until retirement.

All I know is he teaches and coaches at a Knox County School right now but wants to teach and coach at a small 1A school he can retire at.  She said he's currently in his 40's.  She doesn't know his exact age.

Hope he gets it! Be good for them. Just need Jimmie’s and joes to compete with Coalfield, Rockwood etc

      A problem could be issues between the Ayers' and the USJ administrator. He may not care as much as the coaches like. The Ayers' daughter is a star softball player. They will want to move to a program that has a strong softball program in addition to a strong basketball program.

      I didn’t exactly ask the exact results of his matches.  I wanted to know the path he is on and @durdon explained it very well.  Not sure how my original post made you so upset.  I was an AA for Rutgers sometime within the last 5-10 years.  I choose not to reveal my identity because I am afraid you angry southerners might take this too far.  I apologize to anyone I offended but I was just trying to keep track of the past good TN wrestlers and help inform people what Jersey wrestling is really like, and yes Jersey is not the best place to live.  Which is why I moved to TN.  While we are on this topic what happened with the 2 baylor kids at wyoming?

      They have trucks lined along the fence beside the home stands. When the team gets ready to run out the trucks rev up. The y do it throughout the game as well.

      They have, looking forward to talking smack when we play week 4. AE is only 3A non conference we play. GP will have one of the best passing games in 3A. this year.
