Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Head Wrestling Coach.  Blackman is a AA program in TN (Large School – Public) with a rich history of tradition and success.

*Region Dual Champions 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023
*Region Traditional Champs, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023
*8 State Champions in the last 8 years – 30 State medalists during that time.

Blackman’s feeder program, the Blackman Wrestling Club is the reigning back-to-back TNAAU State Champions (2022 and 2023).  Blackman Middle School’s program is the 2023 CTWC Conference Champion (26 Teams).  This program is solid.

The high school program enjoys strong support from the administration and local community.  Murfreesboro is close to Nashville and consistently ranked one of the best places to live in the USA.  Blackman is consistently a Top 10 program in the State of Tennessee.

    • College coaches stopped looking at Winfree after the coach destroyed Winfree's reputation and shared things with coaches.
    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...

We have 8 Womens Colleges Coaches coming in to watch/teach/interact with the girls at camp. The camp is designed to get the girls in camp in front of College Coaches and showcase their skills.     • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
    • It's not just DB, I don't think any of the NET big schools will ever be relevant in football.      Meaning in the playoffs.....
