6AFootballKing
Brentwood vs. Franklin, Portland vs. White House, Gallatin vs. Hendersonville, Dobyns-Bennett vs. Science Hill, Riverdale vs. Oakland etc.
GoPats2019
Regular Season: Oakland/Riverdale... step aside Blackman, Siegel, Rockvale or any of the other schools. The Battle of the Boro is 2nd to none in RuCo. Post Season: Maryville/Oakland... Thanksgiving practice means everything!
TheOldestKnight
It's a new one, but Page/Nolensville has turned into a good one in the mid-state.
abo14
Beech/Hendersonville and I think Beech/Henry County is a good one.
blazer1set
Daniel Boone vs. David Crockett, i.e., the Musket Bowl in NET 5A. This game does not have any meaning outside of Washington County but it is a fierce rivalry going back to 1971.

That's the beauty of a true rivalry...what it means to anyone outside, or to the "big picture" is irrelevant.
SweetScience
Although OR has dominated the rivalry for years, Clinton/OR has always been a great rivalry. Most years it pits relative against relative and most of the kids know one another due to the closeness of the 2 cities. Back in the 50s or 60s (not sure which) they had to stop playing for about a 10 year period due to brawls between the 2 fanbases. Good stuff. 1

Cactus Jack
I would like to throw in a vote for the Oak Ridge vs Kingsport DB series. Starting in 1960, the teams have played to almost a dead even record, with DB holding a one game edge I think. Not only regular season games, but some classic playoff games as well. If both teams are good, the game always draws great crowds at Blankenship FIeld and J. Fred Johnson Stadium, both classic venues. There have been some gaps where they did not play, but usually not more than 4 years. Currently, due to a schedule making problem, the teams will not play in 2023 and 2024, but new Oak RIdge coach Derek Rang has said he wants DB back on the schedule in 2025. There is also a real possibility that the teams will both be in Class 6A starting in 2025, so there would be playoff possibilities.
