It's because he didn't play bball at Chattanooga Christian.

You are not correct, it's an athletic record in any sport sponsored by TSSAA.

Start on page 16 about transfer.

He did and had a stat line in the boys state tournament for so don’t know why he wouldn’t be eligible at Brainerd for the Football season.  I don’t think JustinBuck is correct

He did not play as a sophomore on the basketball team at CCS because of an injury. However, he did play football. Therefore, he played freshman basketball at CCS but not sophomore basketball because of an injury. but he did play football. Therefore, he only played freshman year basketball. For football, he played as a freshman, sophomore, and junior at CCS. However, since he didn’t play his sophomore year of basketball at CCS, he was cleared to transfer and play basketball at Brainerd. However, he cannot play football at Brainerd. That’s why he’s transferring to Bradley Central if he does not play basketball in his senior year.

I thought he played at CCS in basketball his Sophomore year, I must have been mistaken then.  I think the TSSAA needs to close that loop hole in their rule and make it any athletic record from the previous year and not based on each individual sport.  What is to stop a kid who is great in three sports to transfer to three different schools during the school year based on who has the better of the sports team if the parents made a change of address? (Ex. play football at Maryville and live there, move to Knoxville after the season and play basketball at Fulton and live in that zone, and then transfer to Farragut at the end of the basketball season for baseball after moving residents to that zone)

We had a kid play football at Cleveland and then transfer to another school to play basketball, even though he played basketball at Cleveland for 3 years.
