Quarterfinals - Powell at West

As most on here thought - a rematch from a couple of weeks ago?

Here we go this will be like last year. Probably could go either way. Both are hitting stride. They both are playing lights out football. I am not picking this one yet.

Going to be another 4 qtr battle West defense against Matt Lowe's offensive mind he always comes up with something that we don't expect will pick later in the week but should be another great game

And so starts yet another round of the ole "It's nearly impossible to beat a good team twice in the same season" debate.........              Until somebody knocks off West I'm staying with the Rebels, but bet it will be close like last time

I mean Powell completely shut down West for most of the game and still lost. Just seems like Powell will have to do the same things but even better and more disciplined. The special teams mistakes shouldn’t happen again.

Agree with Mavericks here. 2 darn good teams and they know every move each other makes. Just because they have won lately, I'm gonna say West. Lamar seems to win games. I know Matt is a great coach, too.

The best 5A defenses in the East getting ready for Round 2. Right now I am leaning Powell just because of how they controlled the majority of the last game and they are probably a little better overall on the offensive side of the ball.

Both Powell and West performed better against there opponents than was expected by the Media, IMO. They certainly performed better than I expected at this level of the playoffs. I did expect a comfortable win. 

This game between Powell and West is big game to see.

Can anyone remember what the cut-off for multiple concussions is?  I need to break out Varsity Blues and hopefully get some answers.

This should be a slugfest.  Both defenses playing well and you've gotta just assume that Lamar and Coach Kilmer have their teams ready to go.  May be worth the drive across town to watch this one Friday.

Your question and Coach Kilmer reference confirms what I've heard about the QB.  If so, I believe West wins this one handedly.

Blazer I tend to agree. I am edging towards West but they may change
