Spring practice should wind down this week.

Hopefully our bat toters are still swinging after this best-of-three series vs East Robertson.

Great group of guys on this SP baseball team.   Go Pirates!!

Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..

Pirates take the 1st game 8-5.

East Robertson takes the 2nd game 7-3.

East Robertson had one kid tossed in the 2nd game.

1 game series tomorrow.  Not sure of start time just yet.

Go Pirates!!

3rd game is at 5. Pitching depth will now be the key.

ER’s #3 arm (who beat SP last year in game 2) got ejected last night on a horrible call. 1st baseman had his foot well over half the bag and #8 happened to step on it running through the bag. Should not have called for an ejection. Environment was hostile yesterday, but I love it…shows both teams their community cares and is passionate about them. ER will either give the ball to Pearson, Williams, or Swearingen. All have had postseason experience. Swearingen and Pearson pitched in the state championship game last year.

No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.

If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
