Turtle what do you think of the new principal changing the roadrunner logo?

He did mention he wants to keep AE kids in AE

Not a fan of the change but its too late to give a say so in it.  I believe the students should've had a say so not just a selective few .  I'm a fan of the Cartoon Roadrunner and will stick with that until I'm long gone.  That's just me but hey new principal wanted change and he got it.

I'm liking how he's saying, he's going to keep the AE zone kids at AE.  That will bring back a lot of winning if he can keep them from leaving.  We're closing the borders per say...

I personally also like the cartoon one as well.

To me the snowball effect ya'll are in is tough. Stevens wont be able to win without the kids staying. Also while he losses at first the upcoming classes will continue to go other avenues. That cycle would be hard to crack

I think the current 8th grade team is locked for AE, its going to be hard to get them else where.  AE will be back within the next 2-3 years.

Austin East has a very good eighth-grade team. I’m glad they kept all their players around. In fact, that’s a main reason why Alcoa's eighth-grade team is struggling—because Austin East retained all their players, which is pretty funny. It should be interesting to see what happens when Bearden and Austin East meet. They will probably play in the championship, but they also meet in week two. Bearden lost two of their best players to Austin East last season, so perhaps redemption would be nice. However, Austin East has a large number of skilled players who can do a lot, especially that one running back. I believe the kid is number 7 m, he is very tall and big; he moves like Alvin Kamara and is fast.

That would be great for you all. Don't let Bearden, Catholic, Webb, & West know about em

Well, they’ve already done a great job of keeping all their players away from Alcoa, which is why the Alcoa middle school team is very bad compared to previous years. It might be shocking, but Bearden has already lost players to Austin East. I know that may be hard to hear, but it happens all the time. It used to happen very often before the hiring of Jones, and then those players would go to Alcoa for high school ball.

    • I mean is it any proof? Or is you mad because that “urban” school is helping the one school he obviously doesn’t like is winning!
    • “Urban Area” huh? lol say what & who you are referring to! I don’t think a ref can dictate anything! The school does! If a school is winning & my kid can help why not go there? I will put my kid in the best position I possibly can as a parent! And look around Jackson or is it just certain areas you call an  “urban area” but it’s multiple coaches or assistant coaches on the TSSAA officials payroll buddy! Be direct!
    • it is very possible that this can happen in high school contracts are agreed to that could have language such as "Team A will play at Team B in 2024-2025 season ... Team B agrees to play at Team A in 2025-2026 ... failure to uphold this contract by either team will result in a payment of _______ to the injured party to cover loss of gate/concessions" happens all the time
    • Hmm. . . I bet I know what “urban” area you’re referring to! Just call’em out! Lol  If I’m a parent, I’m sending my kid where they can succeed! We have several schools in the Nashville area, in basketball and football. Parents tend to send their kids where they have a better chance to grow. It’s a sacrifice for the parents, but in a lot of cases, it’s worth it. I’m not sending mine to their zoned school. No way! Lol Also, is this assistant coach recruiting while he’s working as a ref?
