Don’t believe he was hurt, just didn’t play him much in the scrimmage. Was referring to Isaiah though.

My mistake. I jumped the gun on that one a little lol. How did East look overall in the scrimmages? Macon county should be a stout team in 4A this year.

I just feel ER is better around the board than SPT as of now. Wilson has ran a fantastic program but I don’t think a 4-7 Spt team who barely beat Hunters Lane could beat East, but then again ER only beat Westmorelan by 1 point too. I see both point of views. With SPT’s offensive wooos I don’t think they can keep up with ER

PLEASE let's revisit this comment after seeing both on the same playing surface at Friday nights jamboree.............

Just watch line play and depth of skill guys...

Will be happy too. I know one coach tried to schedule the other, guess which one didn’t wanna play…

Spt has always had a great program that I have tremendous respect towards but their QB play would hold them back against ER. ER is also bigger than spt at the line of scrimmage as well, on the offensive side of the ball ER is better at every position except maybe receiver. SPT is probably better on defense. If they played I would pick ER to win. And SPT should look amazing this Friday…ER without a qb boatraced Rossview in the spring by 40.

We'll see Friday but i doubt ER OL is big as Springfield's, if it is they will walk into Chatt with 0 problems!

Also as everyone knows SHS has a new QB, which I'm sure you'll think is not as good as yours of course. 🙄

Starters will only get one series like the last 10 years. But we beat up on Rossview as conference opponents for years. nothing to prove there and what you mean without a QB you made an entire playoff run without a QB HAHAHA but that's a story for another day... Talk to you Saturday morning.

We had a freshman QB last year…that broke the school passing TD record. Our OL averages out to around 260lbs and 6ft +. It’s amazing to see spt went from contending for state championships to now arguing if their team is better than little 2A ER…lol. Hope southwind doesn’t whoop up on ya too bad and make the cobbins kid wanna compete for a championship down the road.

QB was impressive, especially for a Freshman. I'm sure he has been coached up for quite some time. Great compliment for Groves.

    • So far it looks like Summertown, East Hickman and mTp are in the lead. Last years region champions got beat by Lawrenceburg but Summertown handled them. However, EH scheduled up and beat 3A Fairview which is Fairview's only loss on the season thus far. It also looks like other teams in R5 have scheduled some 3A-4A teams on their out of region schedule to get better by playoffs.    Who has what for R6? I just do not know enough about those teams over there with the exception of Riverside because they used to play Hohenwald before they became so dominant and were moved to R6.
    • I don’t expect anything less from LC, they always play us tough, there’s been some pretty high scoring games between us over the years. With you as well,  turnovers may just come down to that, and whoever has the ball last, just hope it’s us!
    • Thanks for the interesting info. The field they play on now, is that the same field they have always used from the begining.
    • I’d rather be 1-2 against a grueling schedule with an injured team, than 3-0 with a cakewalk schedule and a perfectly healthy team.
    • I too was at that game...on the sideline....and that is not what happened. The Martin coach got on to his player for his mistake and did not say anything to the Dyersburg sideline. He did not even come out far enough on the field that you could have heard from the Dyersburg sideline what he said, so that is you just ASSuming and not actually knowing.
